Poverty is one of the most important social issues that affects the quality of life and well-being of the population. it is often associated with negative factors such as inequality and lack of opportunities. Poverty deprives low-income families of many essentials. poverty is understood as when a person does not have sufficient resources to adequately satisfy their basic needs (food, housing, education, clothing and health). In Chile, poverty is measured by the income range of the population. The social crisis that we had in October plus the pandemic have caused a 10-year setback of poverty in Chile, and that is why the percentage of poverty in the country would increase to 2 digits. I can personally notice the increase in poverty in the country, just by looking at the number of unemployed people and people who want to withdraw their 10% because they really need it to live.
